Partners Embrace Oracle® Enterprise Manager 11g; New Resources Available on Oracle PartnerNetworkOracle Announces New Oracle PartnerNetwork Resources, Oracle Validated Integration and Partner-Driven Plugs-Ins and Connectors for Oracle Enterprise ManagerRedwood Shores, Calif. – April 22, 2010
News Facts In conjunction with the launch of Oracle®
Enterprise Manager 11g, Oracle today announced new Oracle
PartnerNetwork (OPN) resources and partner-driven plug-ins and
connectors for Oracle Enterprise Manager.
The new OPN Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center Knowledge Zone allows
partners to quickly access the tools, knowledge and community insight
they need to better develop, implement and sell Oracle Enterprise
Manager-based solutions, and differentiate those services and offerings
in the marketplace. Using the
information in the new Knowledge Zone, partners can begin the process of
completing the competency requirements for an Oracle Enterprise Manager
Specialization immediately by embarking on OPN certifications for sales,
presales and support To date, more
than 500 representatives from Oracle partners are already recognized as
Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle Enterprise Manager Application
Quality Management Specialists.
This designation is given to individuals who have demonstrated key
competency in the areas of sales, pre-sales, or implementation support
for this solution by rigorous testing. These specialists are a key
competency criteria to achieve the Oracle Enterprise Manager OPN
Specialization, which will be available in June. Additionally, beginning today, Oracle partners
with integrated plug-ins and connectors can leverage the Oracle Validated Integration (OVI) program. Oracle
Validated Integration applies a rigorous technical process to review the
integrations of third-party software solutions with Oracle
Applications. OVI provides access to Oracle Applications, tools,
technical resources and training to assist partners in developing
integrations based on Oracle standards and best practices. Partners who
have successfully validated their integrations are authorized to use
the “Oracle Validated Integration” logo. Available through the Oracle
PartnerNetwork, Oracle Validated Integration gives customers confidence
that integrations between Oracle Enterprise Manager and complementary
partner solutions have been validated and the products work together as
designed. This can help reduce risk, improve system implementation
cycles, and provide for smoother upgrades and simpler maintenance. Also announced today, partners including Brocade,
F5, Halcyon, HP, NEC and Voltaire are among the latest Oracle Partners
to leverage the open integration APIs in Oracle Enterprise Manager to
build enterprise class plug-ins and connectors; providing customers a
seamless way to monitor the performance of heterogeneous systems and
proactively manage the health of their entire IT stack. Simplifying Management of Heterogeneous Environments with Partner-Driven Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-Ins and Connectors To date, Oracle and its partners have delivered
